The Gifts Of Spring Bunnies

This is a case of Angella Crockett's card, today's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast. I kept the layout and colors but changed everything else.
Gifts Of Spring rabbits stamped in black on Kraft cardstock. I colored them in with the white gel pen and some Souffle gel gens for the noses, grass, and butterflies. I shaded various areas with Pebbles, Inc. pearlescent chalks which are so pretty and shimmery in real life. I love chalks for adding additional color and blending.
The background was made with one of the stamps from the Sprinkles set (a Saleabration choice and one I love), also used the white gel pen to highlight. Sentiment is from the new Abundant Hope on Kraft from a Cuttlebug tag die and the SU oval in black. White organza ribbon secures the tag sentiment.

Ocean Commotion shaker card

We spent the day down at the Seattle Waterfront and a few hours in the Aquarium. I loved watching the otters and seals, they are so funny. This card was inspired by the seahorses we saw, they are pretty cool too. This is a shaker card with the Big Shot Top Note die by Sizzix and the smaller window was made with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels. Stamp set is Ocean Commotion, filled with Soft Subtles beads (I think these are retired too). Not sure where I got the glittery cardstock, I've had it forever.

The Gifts Of Spring

I love this retired Stampin' Up Easter sets, it is a classic keeper! I embossed the bunnies in silver on white and backed with Brushed Silver cardstock. Fleur de lis Nestabilities dies (2) layered behind image and card embossed with SU Elegant Bouquet folder. White half pearls and taffeta ribbons added to accent.

Charming

Another entry for this weekend's Virtual Stamp Night on SCS. This was to use the Faux Metal technique inspired by the Olympics. I tried to portray the medals of gold, silver, and bronze (copper was close enough). I used the Stampin' Up set Charming and embossed this medallion stamp in the 3 colors and added matching brads. All supplies are Stampin' Up. The paper is retired. Image was stamped using markers of Pretty In Pink, Bordering Blue (stamped off once) and Close To Cocoa.

Nature Silhouettes

This card was inspired by the sweater in the challenge designed for the Olympics. I used a maple leaf (Hero Arts) clear embossed on Kraft cardstock with Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip. The designer paper, eyelets, and ribbon are retired SU. The layout is from this week's sketch, Mojo127.

Go Green

I used Best Creations shamrock paper with Garden Green and Whisper White cardstocks by SU with the Occasions mini set Go Green. The white panel was embossed with the Spellbinders Impressabilities die for added texture and also the Swiss Dot folder for the designer paper. Green is a color I almost never use but it sure works for St. Patrick's Day!

Season Of Friendship & Picnic Parade

It sure is like spring here today! It was so beautiful walking for hours, taking in the beauty of the Cascade mountains in the distance and the cherry blossom trees just coming in to bloom. Sunshine and warm temperatures, what a gorgeous day!
I took my inspiration for today's card from the Lark website with this lovely Spring print shown in the first picture.
Season Of Friendship on River Rock cardstock with Whisper White and Banana. Tree was stamped with Creamy Caramel craft ink, flowers and leaves with the old retired SU chalk inks by Colorbox. Also used Picnic Parade for forest creatures. Three flower punch with subtles beads for centers. To curve up the petals of these flowers, put them on your foam piercing mat and press down in the very center of each flower with your Empressor stylus. This forms a perfect little cup shaped flower that is so adorable! I added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds in among the beads for additional sparkle.

I wanted to play in today's SCS color challenge but had a lot of trouble getting the right balance with the required colors of Crushed Curry, Bravo Burgundy, and Basic Gray. I used a sheet of the Curry patterned paper from the Welcome Neighbor pattern pack from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I stamped and cut out the flowers (a bit of Pretty In Pink mixed in with the Burgundy), added some Fire rhinestone brads and popped them up a bit on the Whisper White panel that was stamped with the vine flourish in Crushed Curry. Leaves are a mix of Old Olive edged in Artichoke. Razzleberry polka dot ribbon (reversed) with Basic Gray cardstock that was edged with the new scallop border punch.
