Sneak Peek On A Pedestal

This is a Stampin' Up sneak peek available July 1 called On A Pedestal. It is really a cake set but I used the cake upside down on top of the bottom portion of the pedestal to make a drink and added some cherries. I made the main oval image into a shaker card that was filled with clear microbeads that reminded me of sugar. I ran Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot using the Harlequin texture plate. I also used Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango cardstocks and inks. The flower brads in the corners were accented with a white gel pen center.

Belli Challenge #68 Patriotic

With the Fourth of July quickly approaching, our Creative Belli Challenge is to create a patriotic card. Any time of the year is a good time to send a card to one of our troops which is where this one will go. I recently had the chance to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. I was deeply moved and wanted to do a card to reflect that visit.

Right On Track Choo Choo

Today's color challenge on SCS is to use Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, and Summer Sun. I loved the look of the primary colors and thought it would be perfect for a children's card. I used the Choo Choo set and Right On Track wheel along with the sentiment from Upsy Daisy. A pretty quick and easy card.

For this second card I combined Upsy Daisy with Organic Grace and embossed the dragonfly in Hologram Highlights which is kind of hard to see in photo (but very cool in real life). Background is Pretty Posy on Pacific Point cardstock and Whisper White card base.

Twilight Tuesday

I hope you can all join us for Twilight Tuesday. Today's challenge is to convey in your card or project what comes to mind when you think of the Twilight series. For my card I used Artful INKables new Into The Moonlight set along with the Music a la Carte set.

Going In Circles Today

This is a sneak peek of the new Stampin' Up set Circle Circus, a set of 10. I used Very Vanilla textured cardstock for the base of my card and stamped the circles on Whisper White using Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, stamped off Rich Razzleberry and some Pretty In Pink. Added an Ice Rhinestone brad and some matching polka dot grosgrain ribbon to complete. The little treat is a Big Shot Circles #2 die cut from Melon Mambo and stamped in matching ink. Wrap around the treat (I used Tootsie Rolls), finished with a circle tag that uses the Circle Circus and Oval All sets, secured with some silver cording. Treat Tutorial can be found at stampinaddicts.com

Razzle Dazzle Scallop

I used the Sizzix Big Shot Scallop circle die for the Melon Mambo card base and Very Vanilla for the main image. Stamped Razzle Dazzle image using the Melon Mambo and Soft Suede markers. For the edge I used the small flower stamp in Pretty In Pink and stamped repeatedly around the border. Chocolate Chip matting around the Vanilla circle and piercing along with white gel pen highlights to complete.

Carte Postale

The following card is for today's SCS challenge to use a different language somewhere on your card. I could only find the sentiments from Carte Postale and went from there. I used the retiring Pink Pirouette (will miss this one the most), and stamped flowers in Baja Breeze, paper is Bella Birds, card base is Close To Cocoa. Pale pink organdy ribbon was used with the Button Bouquet pink buttons.

New Artful INKables Into The Moonlight

Inspired by the Twilight book series, this wonderful set is sure to please everyone. There is also a coordinating set of sentiments also available at Artful INKables. Please join us on our blog hop with lots more samples also featuring a beautiful lighthouse set release. Please visit Toni's blog next! Enjoy!

New Catalog Inspired

I was inspired by a sample in the new SU catalog using the Friends 24-7 set. I made mine a one layer card of Naturals White, leaving off the other colors and layers shown in the catty and chaged the sentiment using Oval All and pink taffeta ribbon.
I embossed French Script in clear over entire card front. For the card base I stamped the brocade image in Versamark and dabbed with Regal Rose and Olive chalk pastels.

More Autumn Days...

Another sneak peek using Autumn Days and the Razzleberry Lemonade paper new from SU. I darkened up the edges of the pumpkin colored paper with some Creamy Caramel sponging. I inked the pheasant in Dusty Durango and added some Soft Suede, Not Quite Navy, and Ruby Red with markers. Card base and ribbon are Soft Suede. Sentiment is from the new Wings of Friendship set.

New! Wings Of Friendship

Another sneak peek from Stampin' Up, this is the level 2 hostess set called Wings Of Friendship. It is a set of 4, three of the images are shown in this card, the main bird image, the swirl in corners and the sentiment. There is one more which is an outline stamp of the flower that is in the main image.
Colors used for this were Ruby Red, Baja Breeze and Whisper White with Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon. I stamped an additional flower on Ruby and covered it in Versamark and clear embossed it, added a rhinestone center and popped it up on a dimensional.

New SU- Lots Of Bots

I will be posting new sneak peeks from Stampin' Up all week so please stop by often.
This is for today's Clean and Simple challenge on SCS, I chose the new Lots Of Bots and repeated the balloon, star, and hat from the main image for the background. Colored in markers. This is a super fun set of 5 stamps perfect for kids, the sci fi lover, the techie. (I had this set in mind especially for my husband, the computer programmer/writer). The stamp below that I created a background with is all ones and zeroes, I am sure I will be using this one often for cards for him.
Lots Of Bots is lots of fun!

Sneak Peek of Autumn Days

I know, I know, it's not even quite summer yet but I wanted to show the versatility of this new Autumn Days set from SU, available in July. I used Ruby Red and stamped the pine sprig in Soft Suede. Matted with Mellow Moss, and Soft Suede along with the new Suede polka dot ribbon. The greeting is stamped in Ruby Red and is from the Sincere Salutations set. The pine branch is stamped in the Soft Suede and shaded with pastel chalks and outlined with a Mellow Moss marker. Buttons Latte with some linen thread for embellishment.

New In Color Autumn Leaves

Loving this new Autumn Days set from Stampin' Up, I think it is extremely versatile. For today's card I played in the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS where today's honoree is Roseannne Knowles, Sumtoy. I chose one of the cards in her gallery for this inspiration changing the stamp set, colors, sentiment and embellishment.
I used Bravo Burgundy as the card base with So Saffron atop this that was stamped in matching ink with Priceless swirls and the leaf from Autumn Days to make it look like the wind was blowing the leaves across the card base. I stamped the leaves in all of the new In Colors (some were stamped off once for a lighter shade). New Rich Razzleberry ribbon across middle and sentiment that is from the Upsy Daisy set. I really love the way my top embellishment came out. It starts with a 5/8" Neutrals Brad and a leaf that was gold embossed on Burgundy and then cut out. A 3/4" circle was punched out to go under the brad.

Manhattan and Lovely Flowers

The Saffron colored designer paper is a part of the new Stampin' Up designer paper found in the hostess Level 3 bundle. I really love every sheet of paper in this pack. I paired this with a Very Vanilla card base and layered another card base of vellum over top that had been run through the Big Shot using the Manhattan Flower textured embossing folder. For the left, I cut around the vellum to espose the paper and added a sentiment using Oval All and the new oval scallop punch. The one on the right uses a Fifth Avenue Floral rose and the small rose from Lovely Flowers crumpled and layered and then highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds. These two different stamp sets work beautifully together.

Razzle Dazzle

More all new Stampin' Up sneak peeks!
This is the new Razzleberry Lemonade paper and it is really very pretty with the new In Colors of Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry in a variety of patterns. It has the look of some of the Basic Grey papers that I love.
I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch for my layout, inked the main image in a variety of colors- Green Galore, Summer Sun, Only Orange, Rose Red, and Orchid Opulence.
The new polka dot ribbons come in all of the new In Colors and are absolutely fabulous and highly recommended. You can use both sides, the other is plain and just as lovely. For the butterfly I used the Big Shot Butterfly die and added some of the Pretties Kit pearls and a crystal bead.

Autumn Days - New Stampin' Up Sneak Peek

New SU set Autumn Days, I made a night scene with the new colors of Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry over Bashful Blue cardstock then spritzed with bleach. Matted to Razzleberry and Kraft paper. Here For You sentiment is from Friends 24-7. I stamped the pheasant in Chocolate Chip craft and clear embossed. Colored in body with new In Color markers.

New Stampin' Up Lovely Flowers

This is one of the new Level 3 hostess sets available in July from Stampin' Up. The designer paper comes with the 4 piece stamp set and also a package of rub ons.
I stamped and cut out 3 of the flowers in Melon Mambo, sponged edges to darken, and crumpled and layered. Added Dazzling Diamonds to center. SU is now carrying the In Colors in matching markers. Yay!!! I added Melon Mambo dots all around edges of main image panel. Oval All set in mew marker colors was used for the sentiment tag.

Music a La Carte

I love this new music set from Artful INKables I used the guitar and sentiment and Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter paper. I was going for 12 "guitar strings" as my embellishment but I didn't want to completely cover up that pretty paper.
Kristin from Artful INKables has started a new Featured Stamper Program so check out her blog for details. She also has a wonderful Bare Rubber sale going on that you may want to check out.

Creative Belli Challenge Design Team Call

Today our challenge to you is to create a card for Father's Day. I used the sketch SSS07 from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Please post your creation to the Creative Belli Challenge blog using the keyword CBC#67, Chris is also looking for a new Design Team member as a new Belli girl so please stop by the Belli Challenge blog for details.
For my card I used Nature Silhouette's and Winter Post for the deer, the sentiment is from Fancy Flexible Phrases and the paper is Parisian Breeze. All supplies are Stampin' Up.

Dads like treats too

I made this treat box holder with the fabulous tutorial found at www.stampinaddicts.com
Sahara Sand textured cardstock and Parisian Breeze designer paper that was run through the Big Shot with one of the texturz folders used along with the All Holidays and Nature Silhouettes sets.

Eastern Influences Chinese Lantern

TEMPLATE (on red background)
An all white one layer card, this opens at the bottom. Stamped and colored images with markers, edged in gold pen, sponged edges, and then ran through crimper. Easy as can be!

Thoughts and Prayers Easy Z Fold

A Z fold card is super easy, you just use your standard A2 size and fold the front of the card in half in the opposite direction. I started by stamping the tree from Thoughts & Prayers in Versamark and then clear embossed. Added white gel pen highlights. Sentiment was embossed in Rose Red craft and clear powder.
The front uses the floral branch from the set using markers, sentiment in Rose Red. I positioned this panel so it completely covers the inside image and sentiment when closed. The flower embellishment was made using the Birds & Blooms Sizzlits dies in Pink Pirouette sponged with Pretty In Pink and Rose Red, added a Pretties Kit pearl to center. The pink designer paper is Sweet Nothings by Stampin' Up.

Roses

Another inspiration from Dazzle Designs website. Me & Carrie Lou background stamped in Sage Shadow. Fifth Avenue Floral rose in Shimmer White and re-inkers of Pirouette and pretty In Pink.

Fairy Tales Do Come True

For today's Inspiration challenge I chose this Pink Carriage print by Dazzle Designs.
Once Upon A Time paper by DCWV layered on Cocoa and Pink Pirouette. Carriage stamp is by Me & Carrie Lou embossed in gold and shaded in with markers. Elzybells image colored, cut out, and popped up on dimensionals. The sentiment "fairy tales do come true" is by A Muse and was embossed in gold.

One Layer Cards

I love the way this card looks in real life, I used Pebbles Inc. Pearlescent Chalks to shade the sun and sky and it has such a pretty shimmer hard to see in photo. I used Garden Silhouettes on Whisper White cardstock. Inks and markers were used for flowers- Celery, Mustard, Ruby Red, Old Olive, Ballet Blue, Lavendar Lace, Apricot Appeal. I also used Art of Life for sentiment and Happy Hamony and Watercolor Minis for flowers. My favorite part of this card is that it reminds me of an Impressionist style of painting. I used the leaves stamp from Branch Out and stamped repeatedly in stamped off Soft Sky and Cool Caribbean. For the grass I did the same with Kiwi and Celery.

This was a super quick 10-15 minute card. I used the retired Looks Like Spring set on Naturals White cardstock. Inks were Coral, Pretty In Pink, Saffron, Celery, Cameo Coral, and Amethyst. Layered a silk flower, a button and a pearl.

Mermaid with Punches

This idea was inspired by a cute card I saw by Stamp Mom on SCS. For the mermaid I used a 1 1/4" circle punch in Blush Blossom for head and body. The tail was first embossed with a Cuttlebug borders folder in Taken With Teal and punched with medium oval and 5 petal flower for tail. Her hair is Tangerine Tango and the scallop circle and oval were used. I drew her face on and gave her some blushed cheeks and popped her up a bit on dimensionals.
The background was one by inking the Bubbles Cuttlebug folder with Cool Caribbean ink and then running it through the Big Shot. The seaweed is Sizzlits Little Leaves in Celery and the Martha Stewart branch punches in Kraft and More Mustard.

Forest Friends

Fence was made using Really Rust swiped with Creamy Caramel ink and tag punch. Clouds in background sponged in Caribbean using the retired SU cloud template. Three Flower punch and Sizzlits Little Leaves also used.

Nice Ride, Cinderella!

This Cinderella Coach stamp is from Me & Carrie Lou. I embossed it in gold and colored with markers and Tangerine Tango re-inker. It is hard to see in the phot but this is highlighted with Sakura Gold Dust pen in the netting and on the wheels. Sweet Nothings paper by SU.

Ocean Commotion

For today's Clean and Simple challenge on SCS we were to pick a beach blanket or tote from the Land's End catalog. I chose the seahorse blanket shown in the picture here.
The pre-embossed cards were from The Paper Company, I found these in the clearance bin at Michael's. I stamped the seaweed in Garden Green and the seahorses in Positively Pink. Embossed the fish in clear over everything. Added pink beads and Dazzling Diamonds for the ocean floor. Clear dew drops for bubbles. This looks much prettier in real life.

Simple Friendship Butterfly Box

The SCS technique challenge was to make a butterfly box with the template supplied there. This was really quick and easy, surprisingly. I used Tea Party and Walk In The Park designer paper, the Big Shot butterflies die, Pretties Kit pearls and beads. 3x3" Love Notes on Whisper White were stamped using the Simple Friendship stamp set with matching envelopes.
