Some April Fools!!

Silly bunnies...
This is for today's Creative Belli Challenge to make a card for April Fool's Day. I Mixed up Loads Of Love, ran front through crimper, and added bunnies from Spring Gifts with Branch Out Tree.

Come and join the fun, link your card here and see what the rest of the Belli team has for you!

Artful INKables Friendship Flowers

This is a beautiful set for spring or anytime from Artful INKables. It comes with a calla lily, bluebells (or lily of the valley), daffodils, the stamp shown and a friendship sentiment. I used SU's Sweet Nothings paper, white taffeta ribbon, and new Latte Buttons. This is a double challenge card, the first for today's colors of Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and Chocolate Chip. The second is our weekly Doubledog Dare challenge this week hosted by Anne (itsapassion) who challenged us to use a layout sbsc31 on SCS along eith a fashion accessory (I used buttons).

Oval All with Texture

I inked the texture embossing folder with Pink Pirouette ink and ran through the Big Shot. Paper is Sweet Nothings, white organza ribbon, new Occasions mini Oval All set with scallop punch.

Sweet Stems Neverending Card

The technique featured on SCS today is a neverending card with a wonderful video tutorial. I used Sweet Stems and Tea Party paper on all sides. I tied this closed with some pink taffeta ribbon. I don't know how to show multiple pics on one frame so am just showing one aspect of this. It took me forever but I finally figured it all out, I doubt I will ever make another :)

Wedding Silhouettes

This is my entry for the VSN challenge to use the colors in the Venetian casino/hotel in Vegas. Weddings are the first thing I think of when Vegas is mentioned. The colors were yellow or gold (couple embossed in gold with a Brushed Gold scallop oval frame), burgundy, blue, and white. Retired SU paper Festive Finery. The filigree gold pieces are jewelry findings and the stamp set is Wedding Silhouettes from Artful INKables.
Sketch is from Mojo75 flipped.

Dorothy on the Yellow Brick Road

I got this digital stamp image from the Greeting Farm (Anya Dorothy). Colored in Copic markers and popped up Dorothy and Toto on dimensionals. Shoes have Romantic Red glitter in them. Busy Blocks jumbo wheel embossed in So Saffron craft ink and clear e.p. Poppies cut from three flower punch and microbeads added to center. This card was inspired by the scenes created by Just Painiting Around who is today's Featured Stamper on SCS.

Wild About You (and VSN!)

This is a multi-challenge card. This week it is Julie's turn to host our Three Amigas challenge and we are to use the 3 B's of brads, buttons, and bows. If you would like to join us just add TAWC to your keywords or let me know where your card can be found and I will add your card to our challenge link.
I also used Beate's weekend Scketch Challenge (pretty much) and the VSN that is going on this weekend at Splitcoast. This stands for Virtual Stamps Night and is a great deal of fun if you get a chance to play. This card was inspired by the Vegas casino Circus Circus and we had to use some orange somewhere on our card.

In Support of Black and White

Today's challenge on SCS was to make a black and white card. I have a collection of vintage greeting cards and I cut out this image from one of them. This was from the late 40's or early 50's I was told. The inside of the card reads "you're holding up in great shape". I used the eyelet border punch on some Ghostly Greetings designer paper and filigree brads.

Batik Bird

This is the first time I've tried the Batik technique. Clear embossed the brocade stamp from Friends 24-7 on mulberry paper, spritzed with blue and green Glimmer Mist and then ironed off the embossing. Square ice rhinestone brads, white organza ribbon, Button Bouquet, eyelet border punch, and markers used to color bird.

Since I already had the supplies out from my earlier card I decided to do another Batik with the mulberry paper. Branch Out tree was clear embossed, spritzed with blue and green Glimmer Mists and then ironed to remove the embossing.I colored and cut out my all time favorite little SU bunnies from Spring Gifts (retired)

Music Expressions

Stamp Muse was kind enough to send me some of these lovely images, thanks M!!
I used today's SCS sketch challenge and the colors Ballet Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Close To Cocoa along with Patterns Pack II. I am still in the process of getting my stamp room back together and couldn't locate my pastels that I had hoped to use for the yellow shaing. What I did with the watercolor crayons and inks came out a bit darker than what I really wanted.

This week I am the hostess for our Three Amigas Weekly Challenge (TAWC). My favorite challenges are inspiration pieces and this one has so many possibilities. A branch with some cherry blossoms, eggs, Easter images, the colors. My sample uses Stampin' Up's A Good Egg with Pirouette Pink cardstock and Bella Birds designer paper. The template for the basket can be found on Splicoaststampers under TLC213. I hope you can join us, there is no time limit, no restriction, only the motivation to get us stamping. The Trouble With Bunnies

is that the bunnies sure do multiply! This was for two challenges, the first is to use the colors Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun, Kraft, and some Basic Black. I combined this with our Three Amigas challenge this week hosted by Sharon Graham to make a demented or humorous card. (TAWC for keywords if you would like to join in).
I stamped the strees using markers and the thumping technique, in honor of Thumper, using Celery, Olive, Cocoa, and Chocolate. Added pink dots since it is spring-y. Cut oyt all of these bunnies and popped some out on dimensionals.

Lego Hello

This is a get well for a little boy that loves Legos. I cased this idea from Vicki- Craft Crazy 98 on SCS. It is a super simple card, the squares are 1 1/2" and I used an office hole punch for the round pegs. The hardest part was cutting down the dimensionals to fit into that teeny circle. Colors used were Brilliant Blue, Glorious Green, Yoyo Yellow, and Real Red. Backed with Basic Black on Whisper White card base. Hello sentiment is from Sweet Shapes colored in matching markers. Thanks Vicki for this idea, I always have a hard time finding the perfect thing for boys in that age range.

Always A Challenge

I combined two challenges, the first to make a ribbon frame and the second for today's Clean and Simple challenge. Today was an inspiration based on Robeez products. I was inspired by the bird slippers shown.

Always stamp set on Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, and Naturals Ivory. Branch in Chocolate and stamped off River Rock, bird in Riding Hood Red. All supplies are SU except for silver ribbon buckle slide which is from Impress.
Chocolate 5/8" grosgrain ribbon is SU.

Sweet Stems Bugs and Kisses

This is a multi-challenge effort. Julie Alberda challenged us to make a card and then a scrapbook page using the same elements. There had to be an old accessory from the catalog and one that is new this year. My new ones are the scallop oval and eyelet border punches, the old ones are the Felt Fusion flowers and Soft Subtles brads. Kiwi Kiss, Pretty In Pink used along with Raspberry Tart paper.
I combined this challenge with the Weekly Sketch Challenge this week hosted by Jenn Balcer and the Limited Supplies challenge on SCS to use a bug or bugs on your card.

Something Yummy

This is one of the projects for my Sunday workshop. The second picture is the card inside.
I used the Delicate Dots paper with Pirouette Pink card base. The swirl and sentiment was stamped on the Top Note die. The front is from the SAB Yummy set and the inside Birthday Celebrations is from Upsy Daisy.

New Occasions Mini- Forest Friends

This set is so much fun and really a great deal at $14.95 for the set of four.
I stamped the tree that I had colored in with maerkers. Stamped and cut out the deer. Paper is Sale-A-Bration Delicate Dots, brads are Soft Subtles, ribbon is white organza (love this stuff, it is so soft), card base is Certainly Celery wheeled in Craft White with Always In Bloom, another new purchase that I can't seem to leave alone.

Flower Fairy

It was very hard to get a good picture of this, I have been temporarily booted out of my stamping and photography areas due to construction. Roughing it on the dining room table for now...

I have had this stamp for years and this is the first time I've used it. Colored the image in Copic markers. The card base is actually Handsome Hunter, it looks darker in the photo. It was wheeled in matching ink with the Always In Bloom wheel.

Forest Friends

Not too sure about this one, I wanted to make it look like the owl was peeping out of a tree hole.
New Walk In The Park paper with Forest Friends owl and jumbo grommets. Flower vine Big Shot die used for tree "branches". For the tree I used a square of Close To Cocoa and swpied long streaks dow the front with Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and Craft White.

Belli Challenge 58 Twilight Inspired

Wednesday's Creative Belli Challenge is to be inspired by the wildly popular book series Twilight, the cover of New Moon in particular. Forks, Washington sure has become a popular place since this book hit it big!
My sentiment happened quite by accident but it is pretty funny and very fitting for this book that deals with vampires and immortality. "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." Yeah, especially if you live for two or three hundred years :)
Card base is Basic Black, Glossy White cs stamped with black StazOn using the Fifth Avenue Floral set. Outlined certain area with white crayon (crayon resist technique)before sponging with Riding Hood Red, Apricot and Kiwi Kiss.
My Tuesday card works for this inspiration challenge as well! See below.
We would love to have you join us in this book inspiration challenge and post to the Creative Belli Challenge Blog

Forest Friends Twitterpated

Sneak Peek!
The bunny stamp from the new Stampin' Up Forest Friends reminded me of Thumper from Bambi so I had to make a couple in love. The paper is Parisian Breeze with Sahara Sand and Baja Breeze. I used the new grommets and the flower is from the new Oval All set punched out and placed in center of ring. I then adhered an acrylice sticker from the build a brad kit over the image.
These two sets will be available in April

Easter Bonnet and Purse

Tea Party paper from SU is so perfect for Spring projects, I used the pale yellow sheet for this with Barely Banana as a base. Grosgrain ribbon is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog (good through March), white edging done with eyelet border punch. A Good Egg was colored in markers and egg was paper pieced to match.
The purse template can be found under TLC211 in the SCS challenges forum, the hat template was from SCS also, under templates- keyword hat.

Mousie Makeover

This is in honor of Judy, stampingqueenjar on SCS. I love all of Judy's House Mouse and Happy Hopper cards, and was inspired by the Happy Hoppe bunnies on the first page of her gallery. I changed the image and paper, and left off the top sentiment only because I didn't have room.
House Mouse image colored in Copic markers and Tea Party paper by SU along with white organza ribbon. Flower gems by Heidi Swapp. It was my son's idea to give the mice some false eyelashes, and I thought this was a really cute addition. It's so nice to get some in house feedback when making cards!

Birthday Best

Inspired by this bedding for today's inspiration challenge:
Spunky Sprout
I used the new Artful INKables set Birthday Best for the cupcake and sentiment. I applied Liquid Applique and real cupcake sprinkles and heated to make puffy. Background is SU's cupcakes wheel colored in with Copic markers.
www.sleepyinseattle.net

This fabulous cake image is from the new Artful INKables set Birthday Best. I colored it with Copic markers, added some pearls and striped ribbon. Sentiment is also from set.

Friends 24-7

This is my favorite SU paper ever, it is so easy to coordinate and the card came together really fast for the 30 minute or less challenge over on SCS. No coloring, which saved time also. The paper is Parisian Breeze from SU, stamped bird in chocolate and background in Sahara Sand, stamped off once. Layout is from Mojo Monday 76 sketch.

Sweet Stems ATC's

I made these ATC's (artist trading cards) with the Sweet Stems set and Tea Party paper. Very springy!

This is Artful INKables new set called Think Big. The second pic is the ATC upgraded to a card.

CBC#57 Chrissy and Courtney's New Stamps

These images were so pretty and fun to work with. This first image is from Chris Dickinson for this week's Belli Challenge and new stamp release. I love the graceful elegance of this stamp and I loved coloring it. I used Copic markers with SU's Bella Birds paper, white organdy ribbon, and half pearls. This new set is called His Eye Is On The Sparrow and can be found at Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.

This beautiful image is designed by Courtney Fowler also for Sweet 'N Sassy and is awesome if you love coloring like I do. I love the yellows, oranges, and pinks that I see these lovely flowers in and will definitely be experimenting with more color blends for this image. I used my Copic markers for this also along with SU's Delicate Dots paper and Old Olive cardbase.

Please check out the cards made by the Belli team:

Doubledog Dare Challenge- Come and Play!!

This week it was my turn to host the Doubledog Dare Challenge and I thought it would be nice to see a card that was about spring and the Doubledog Dare part was to add seeds somewhere on the card. I used poppy seeds in the flower.
Please come and join us for the challenge, don't forget to add DDC in the keywords so we can find you.
Raspberry Tart and Parisian Summer designer papers, new flower brads and olive polytwill ribbon.
The sun was actually shining here today so maybe spring really is just around the corner!

Crimped Envelope Pocket Card

This is so easy! Seal envelope. I stamped mine with Bella Toile in black on a Kraft envelope. Colored in certain areas. Cut about 1 1/4" from the top and used eyelet border punch on this small strip. Run the bottom half of the envelope through the crimper. The top strip piece will fit nicely back over the envelope now.
Also used the 5 petal and Three Flower punches along with the Pretties Kit pearls, Cute and Curly set and matching punch for the sentiment, and black grosgrain ribbon. You can slide a card inside the envelope, I don't have a pic of one quite yet.
